Didi has successively obtained road test qualifications in Beijing, Shanghai, Hefei, Suzhou, California and other places, and obtained the first batch of manned demonstration application licenses issued by Shanghai. The current research and development scale is about 400 people.

    On September 4, Didi Autonomous Driving announced that it had obtained a test license for autonomous vehicles issued by Hefei City. Previously, Anhui's first 5G autonomous driving open road demonstration line has been put into trial operation.

    Up to now, Didi has successively obtained road test qualifications in Beijing, Shanghai, Hefei, Suzhou, California and other places, and obtained the first batch of manned demonstration application licenses issued by Shanghai.

    On June 27, Didi began to open its autonomous driving service to the public in Shanghai. Users can register online through the Didi App. After review, they can call autonomous vehicles in the test area for free trial rides.

    Didi's autonomous driving team was established in 2016 and has multiple professional teams such as high-precision maps, pedestrian and vehicle behavior prediction, route planning and control. Currently, the team conducts R&D and testing in many places in China and the United States, with a scale of about 400 people.
