The new SUV is based on Maruti Suzuki's VITARA Brezza model and will be mainly sold in The Indian market in the early stage. The UrbanCruiser is the second model that Toyota has partnered with Suzuki. The first model is the Glanza. The new UrbanCruiser will be a big change from the previous model.

According to the official trailer, Urban Cruiser will be targeting small SUVs. In terms of appearance, it adopts a new grille design with Toyota LOGO in the center. At the same time, it can be seen that the car also USES a multi-spoke wheel ring.

Powerfully, Urban Cruiser is a continuation of VITARA Brezza with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine, 105 HP, 138N·m torque, matching a 5-gear manual or 4-gear automatic.

The Urban Cruiser is expected to be built at the Maruti Suzuki plant in India. See VITARA Brezza's current price of 734,000 rupees (rmb68,000), and Urban Cruiser may also be in that range. There is no word yet on the model's introduction to other global markets, and China is even less likely.

Editor's Comment:

Toyota and Suzuki once jointly launched Glanza in the Indian market. This car is a twin car based on Suzuki Baleno, featuring an entry-level hatchback car. Urban Cruiser, which is about to go public, has duly tapped the lucrative market for small SUVs. If the price of tens of thousands of yuan can be introduced to the Chinese market, it may also have a good sales volume.
