According to foreign media reports, the Federation of Automotive Workers (UAW) stated that members of the UAW at General Motors Flint assembly plant voted weakly against the proposed contract between the union and the company.

On November 9th, UAW 598 posted on Facebook that 51.8% of the factory's members voted against accepting the new contract. General Motors stated that it will not comment during the contract approval process.
