NetEase Motors reported on September 15th that recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a set of application drawings for the all-new Volvo pure electric SUV EX30. The new car is not only Volvo's first small SUV, but also the fourth pure electric model; It also adopts sustainable materials and is equipped with an active safety system that focuses more on urban safety, providing users with intelligent storage design and intelligent interaction experience. The new car is expected to be released within the year.

　　In terms of appearance, the Volvo EX30 showcases all the design concepts of Volvo Cars with its exquisite body shape. The domestically produced Volvo EX30 is consistent with the overseas version, adopting the classic design concept of the Volvo family. The front grille adopts a closed design, and the headlights are the very iconic "Thunderbolt Hammer" design. The internal light group effect looks very technological, and the front bumper is treated with smoked black, making the front face of the entire vehicle not only look domineering, but also have a style. In order to achieve a better driving experience, the chassis of the Volvo EX30 has also been carefully designed, with smaller ground clearance, lower overall center of gravity, compact and flexible handling, making it more suitable for urban shuttle driving. The design of five spoke wheels and equal length front and rear overhangs gives the Volvo EX30 a balanced and refined appearance.

　　The new 12.3-inch central display screen is located in the center of the dashboard, integrating all functions, giving the driver a more spacious feel while also saving more materials, providing a simple, intuitive and contextualized user experience.

　　The central display screen provides a "minimalist" view option, effectively clearing miscellaneous items and retaining only the most important information, making the driver more focused on driving. Referring to foreign versions, EX30 also comes with built-in Google app, 5G networking function, and Qualcomm Snapdragon ® Intelligent cockpit platform.

　　In addition, the luxurious echo wall sound from Harman Carton is as wide as the dashboard, balancing outstanding appearance and stronger practicality. This not only gives the car a home audio design, but also frees up more storage space for the doors while reducing the number of components used.

　　In terms of storage space, the Volvo EX30 adopts a series of intelligent storage concepts based on a centralized and minimalist theme, specifically designed to reduce emissions and save materials. The storage box is moved below the center console, allowing both the driver and passengers to easily access items. The multifunctional channel between the driver and passengers provides a sliding retractable cup holder or phone holder, which provides more storage space when retracted. 　　For users who mainly travel in urban areas or short distances and do not require long range, they can choose a single motor solution equipped with lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which have high cost-effectiveness and low resource consumption.

　　For users who need to maximize their range, they can choose the rear wheel drive Long Range (Single Motor Extended Range) model equipped with ternary lithium (NMC) batteries, which use lithium, nickel, manganese, and cobalt raw materials and have higher energy efficiency than lithium iron phosphate batteries. This single motor version can provide a single charge range of up to 480 kilometers.

　　For customers who value performance the most, they can choose the Twin Motor Performance model. This model is equipped with an additional electric motor on top of a ternary lithium battery, with a maximum power of 315 kW (428 horsepower) and an acceleration time of only 3.6 seconds per 100 kilometers.

　　In terms of charging speed, the maximum charging power of the Volvo EX30 dual motor four-wheel drive model can reach 153kW, while the standard range version can reach 134kW. The charging time from 10% to 80% is only about 25 minutes. In addition, customers can set the current, maximum battery level, and charging start time through the car's central display screen and application program.
