According to American Automobile News, Kia will invest $200 million to put the new electric vehicle EV9 into production at its US factory in West Point, Georgia.

　　It is reported that EV9 will be the first electric vehicle assembled by Kia in North America. The South Korean automaker has announced that it will add approximately 200 jobs to its West Point factory in Georgia to produce the EV9, and the factory will also produce four other models simultaneously.

　　In fact, in addition to Kia, more and more enterprises have begun to invest in electric vehicles and batteries in Georgia. For example, the electric vehicle manufacturer Rivian Automotive is building a factory worth 5 billion dollars in the state, while Hyundai Motor Group and SK On said last December that they would cooperate to build a new battery manufacturing plant in Georgia to provide power pool for Hyundai Motor Group's assembly plant in the United States.

　　Hyundai Motor Group and SK aim to start operating a new factory in 2025. Stakeholders estimate that the new factory will create more than 3500 new jobs in Bartow County, Georgia through an investment of about $4 billion. In addition, Hyundai Motor Company invested US $5.54 billion last October in Bryan County, Georgia to build an electric vehicle and battery factory.

　　Georgia Governor Brian Kemp stated that since 2020, Georgia has added $22.7 billion in investment and created over 28400 new jobs in the electric vehicle supply chain.
