    At the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, Dongfeng Group stated that it will build a new electric off-road vehicle platform MORV and launch a new brand.     On January 18, Dongfeng's high-end new energy off-road vehicle project officially started construction. It is planned to be put into production in 2023, with a planned annual production capacity of 100,000 vehicles.

    From the perspective of project planning, the project covers an area of 485 mu, including three major sections: advanced manufacturing center, off-road base, headquarters office and commercial exhibition center; with a total construction area of 96,000 square meters, new welding workshop, painting workshop, final assembly workshop, Experimental center and experience center, off-road experience track and test track and other supporting facilities; the project has a planned production capacity of 100,000 vehicles and is scheduled to be put into production in 2023.

    So far, Dongfeng Motor has four independent segments: Vehicle Platform, Lantu, M, and Dongfeng Fengshen, focusing on impacting the smart electric market and accelerating the electrification of Dongfeng Motor.
