Trensor is a manufacturer of pressure sensors, or transducers, and pressure temperature combination sensors. A purpose-built technology innovator and solutions provider, Trensor was founded nearly 10 years ago with very specific goals in mind. Trensor recognized key deficiencies and market issues in the pressure sensor industry, things we thought we could greatly improve upon. Most of Trensor’s competitors were and still are somewhat limited by their technology options when addressing customer design needs. Core competency in only one or two of the four core technologies used in pressure sensors forced our competitors to attempt to adapt these technologies to fit customer needs. We found examples in the marketplace where competitors were using MEMS technology in fuel applications, for example. Outsourcing their ASIC chips (Application Specific Integrated Circuits), the brain of the pressure sensor, these competitors were then and must still now rely on their ASIC suppliers to stay up to date with trending technology and offer solutions. In some cases, they must even commission their ASIC suppliers to work directly with OEMs on their behalf to implement these new technologies. This left the competitors with limited options and their customers with limited options . Designed from the beginning to be a world-class manufacturer of high technology products, Trensor set out to shake up the pressure sensor industry.

Trensor’s head engineers and R&D teams went to work independently developing our own proprietary and patented core technologies and signal processing units, or ASIC chips (Application Specific Integrated Circuits), the heart of our pressure sensor products. It is important to note that Trensor has now developed proprietary and patented designs for all of the four core technologies in pressure sensing: MEMS, Thick Film, Sputtered Thin Film and SOI Micro-Melting Technology. This allows us to match the right technology for the right application. Trensor’s patented ASIC chips are now the most miniature size in the industry and specifically designed for the industries they’re trusted and used in. With our broad technology offering, impressive IP portfolio and proprietary ASICs we have the product and process flexibility to provide the perfect solutions for our customers, no matter how stringent the design requirements.
