Twin Star was founded in 1921 and headquartered in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao. Qingdao Twin Star (000599) is a state-owned main board listed company. Before 2008, the main businesses of Double-Star were shoes and clothing. In 2008, after the comprehensive restructuring of the footwear industry, it was separated from the group, and the double-star industry was fully transformed into the tire industry.
On January 16, 2014, guided by smart transformation, Twin Star launched a new journey of "second entrepreneurship, creating the world famous brand of tires". In 2016, the global tire industry's full-process "Industry 4.0" intelligent chemical plant was built, and it took nearly five years to close all old plants and eliminate all backward production capacity. On January 16, 2020, Twin Star launched a new journey of "three startups and world-class enterprises". On July 16, 2020, Shuangxing implemented the group-level mixed reform, transforming from a municipal solely state-owned enterprise into a state-owned holding mixed ownership enterprise.
