The design inspiration for the new car comes from the artwork of South African artist Esther Mahlangu, whose iconic colors and geometric patterns are cleverly integrated into the body design, making this model not only technological but also full of artistic atmosphere. The car adopts the "electronic ink" technology jointly developed by BMW and E Ink, and the surface of the body is covered with 1349 segments of laser cut film, each of which can be controlled separately. By applying different electrical pulses, these films can change colors and patterns in real time, presenting a rich and colorful visual effect. The new car has applied this color changing technology on the roof, hood, trunk lid, and side of the body, allowing the exterior of the car to change colors and patterns according to demand, just like an e-book reader.
