Recently, in the new batch of new car announcements by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the figure of Volkswagen (Anhui) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Volkswagen Anhui) appeared. As the third joint venture vehicle enterprise of Volkswagen in China, Volkswagen Anhui was established in 2020 through a joint venture between Volkswagen and Jianghuai Automobile. From the naming of the joint venture company, it can also be intuitively felt that Volkswagen is the absolute leader in this company (Volkswagen Group holds 75% of the shares in Volkswagen Anhui).

　　After more than three years of preparation, Volkswagen Anhui's first mass-produced car is finally about to meet everyone.

　　According to the public announcement, the English name of the new car is ID UNYX, also known as Yuzhong in Chinese. The new car has a length, width, and height of 4663mm, 1860mm, and 1610mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2766mm.

　　ID.UNYX will be equipped with Ningde Era's ternary lithium-ion battery, and will launch two versions: single motor and dual motor. The peak power of the single motor version is 170kW, and the peak power of the dual motor version is 250kW (with the addition of a front motor with a peak power of 80kW).

　　From the public images, it can be seen that the ID. models under the Volkswagen Anhui brand have not copied the style of the previous North and South Volkswagen ID. series, but have made their own characteristics in design (which may also be the design bottom plate of the new generation of the Volkswagen ID. series), with triangular headlights and through style light strips, and added raised lines on the front hood, making the overall shape more sharp.

　　From the side view, ID The UNYX has a clear trend towards a large hatchback, and the new car should be positioned as a coupe shaped coupe SUV.

　　The tail lights of ID.UNYX adopt the family style "inverted trapezoid", and the most eye-catching feature should be the text at the rear, ID The words UNYX, Yuzhong, and Volkswagen are all in gold font, which can better highlight the different origins of the new car and easily distinguish it from the North South Volkswagen ID. series.
