On January 9th, Ansemy announced the renewal of its long-term supply agreement with Ideal Automobile.

　　Previously, Ideal Automobile adopted Ansemy's mature 8-megapixel image sensor in its extended range electric vehicle (EREV). After the signing of this agreement, Ideal Automobile will adopt Ansemy's high-performance EliteSiC 1200V bare chip in its next generation 800V high-voltage pure electric vehicle model, and continue to integrate Ansemy's 8-megapixel high-performance image sensor in its future models. The cooperation between the two companies will accelerate the process of car electrification and improve driving safety.

Ansemy has a vertically integrated end-to-end SiC supply chain and scalable production capacity, fully controlling the entire manufacturing process of SiC, and can provide long-term supply assurance and the latest technology to ensure product quality and reliability.

　　At present, the third-generation power semiconductors and high rate power batteries represented by SiC are becoming increasingly mature, and intelligent electric vehicles are accelerating their development towards high voltage and overcharging. The 800V platform has also become a major trend for new energy vehicles, including the Xiaopeng G9, Zhijie S7, Looking Up to the "Yi Sifang" series, Geely Galaxy E8, Jike 007, Jihu Alpha T5, Xiaomi SU7, etc., all equipped with 800V high-voltage systems, Ideal Automobile has previously released an 800V high-voltage platform 5C battery, and the pre-sale Ideal MEGA is also based on the 800V high-voltage pure electric platform.

　　In terms of SiC layout, in addition to signing an agreement with Ansemy, Ideal Automobile has also cooperated with STMicroelectronics and established a joint venture with Sanan Optoelectronics to build a SiC production base. It is expected that the final annual production capacity of 2.4 million SiC half bridge power modules can be achieved.
