Recently, Audi officially opened the world's second charging station in Zurich, Switzerland. The station provides four groups of high-power charging piles. The maximum output power of each group of charging equipment is 320kW, which can store 1.05MWh of electricity in total, equivalent to the storage capacity of 11 Audi e-tron 55 models. It is estimated that 60 electric vehicles can be charged every day. Audi owners can reserve charging guns 45 minutes in advance through their mobile phone apps.

The Audi charging station located in Zurich is equipped with a solar photovoltaic system on the roof, which can provide 12.2kWp power. The energy storage system cabinet is composed of 198 battery modules, which are made of lithium batteries discarded and refurbished from test vehicles. The single energy storage cabinet has a storage capacity of 525kWh, which realizes Audi's concept of green energy and environmental protection. At the same time, there is no need to build additional high-voltage lines, transformers and other complex and expensive infrastructure.

Unlike Nuremberg charging station, which is positioned as a multi-functional luxury charging station, Zurich charging station is located opposite the parking lot of Zurich Exhibition Center. Considering the environment of the commercial area, it only provides the function of vehicle charging. Audi optimizes the charging gun boom to provide a spacious, angle and height adjustable charging experience, while the relatively rich space allows users of wheelchairs, baby carriages and other devices to enjoy better charging convenience.

Audi expects to build a total of 13 Audi charging stations in Europe in 2024. As for the global market planning, it has not yet been announced.
