Ford recalls in US

  Ford Motor said on May 19 that it will recall 39,000 SUVs after receiving 16 reports of fire incidents and advised owners to park their vehicles outside and away from buildings until repairs are complete,media reported. . The recall includes the 2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator.


  Ford said the recall was initiated because the engine compartment could catch fire when the car was parked or driven, even with the ignition turned off. Ford has received 16 reports of fires related to the problem, 14 of which occurred in rental company vehicles, and one person was injured. Ford is still working on remedies and measures and is working to pinpoint the cause of the fire.

  This year, Ford has issued 30 recalls in the U.S. involving 3.5 million vehicles. Ford also issued two other recalls this week, including a recall of 310,000 2016 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450 and F-550 trucks over dust that could build up in vehicles The steering wheel clock springs, causing the circuit to open and the driver's airbag to not deploy properly. Ford will replace the steering wheel clock spring for concerned owners. It is reported that Ford has not received reports of injuries involving the issue.


  In addition, Ford is recalling 464 Mustang Mach-Es in the U.S. for potential software glitches that could cause the vehicles to accelerate unexpectedly. This recall covers vehicles manufactured between October 3, 2020 and May 26, 2021. Ford said it will release an OTA update to address the potential glitch, due in May of this year. Ford has communicated with dealers on May 16 and is planning to notify owners on May 30.
