After the issuance, Volkswagen China's holdings of Guoxuan Hi-Tech shares increased to 441 million shares, and its shareholding ratio increased to 26.47%, becoming its largest shareholder.

　　In May 2020, Guoxuan Hi-Tech released an announcement that it intends to introduce strategic investor Volkswagen China to raise capital of no more than 7.306 billion yuan and no less than 6 billion yuan from Volkswagen China for 16GWh/year high specific energy power battery industrialization project , 30,000 tons/year high nickel ternary cathode material project and supplementary working capital.

　　On December 1, Guoxuan Hi-Tech announced that the transfer of shares through the agreement has been completed and Volkswagen China acquired a 4.41% stake in Guoxuan Hi-Tech.

　　And in this announcement, the fixed increase part that has attracted much attention from the outside world finally landed, and Guoxuan Hi-Tech formally introduced the strategic investor Volkswagen China.

　　In the process of advancing the war investment project, the cooperation between Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Volkswagen has gradually deepened and further expanded to the group level.

　　In July this year, Guoxuan Hi-Tech signed a memorandum of understanding with the Volkswagen Group to develop the first generation of standard batteries for the Volkswagen Group, becoming the first designated developer for the development of standard batteries. Only a week later, Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Hefei High-tech Zone signed a cooperation agreement, planning to build a 20GWh power battery production base in the high-tech zone, focusing on the production and manufacturing of Volkswagen standard batteries.

　　In December, Guoxuan High-tech 50GWh power battery project officially started in Hefei High-tech Zone. This project is consistent with the above-mentioned projects in terms of location, floor space, and production planning. This may mean that Volkswagen has probably increased the original standard battery cell capacity planning. In addition, the project may be preparing for supporting other first-class OEMs at home and abroad.

　　In the layout of the industrial chain, it has successively invested in key links in the industrial chain such as positive electrode, positive electrode precursor, negative electrode material, separator, and copper foil electrolyte, forming a vertical layout of the entire industrial chain.

　　In product development and application, it has successively released 210Wh/kg lithium iron phosphate batteries and JTM technology products, and successfully installed 300Wh/kg ternary high-energy batteries and semi-solid batteries.

　　At the same time, Guoxuan Hi-Tech's production capacity scale target has been increased from 100GWh in 2020 to 300GWh.

　　It is worth mentioning that in addition to binding the public, Guoxuan Hi-Tech is also continuing to develop new customers. Whether in the domestic or global market, the company's market share has increased.

　　The announcement stated that the completion of this transaction will further promote the establishment of a strategic cooperative relationship between Guoxuan Hi-Tech and Volkswagen China, which will help each to achieve complementary advantages in technology and resources, and promote the common development of both parties in the field of new energy.
